The Athena bag takes its name from the Greek deity of wisdom, arts and war. Greek mythology identified this goddess with an owl, a symbol of wisdom and insight.

The owl is the nocturnal bird par excellence, with very fine hearing and the ability to see far away and even look over your shoulder! The eyes are undoubtedly Athena's magnet. With her sharp gaze she penetrates the darkness, personifying the light as an exit from darkness.
